Russia allocates $10 million to help African countries

The Russian Government has adopted a decision to make voluntary contribution of $10 million to the United Nations World Food Program.

The targeted funding seeks to provide humanitarian assistance to Somalia as well as to other African States, namely Burundi, Central African Republic, Djibouti and Sierra Leone. Each of these states will receive $2 million in aid.

According to the decision of the Russian Government, the mentioned funds are to be used for the purchase of goods in Russia and for the delivery to the recipient States by Russian institutions.
